When it comes to planning your big day there are so many things that can come up and stress you out. We want this experience to be as fun for you as it is for us! Afterall it is your big day and it’s only going to happen once, so why not make it perfect. We have put together a list of our top 10 tips to help you reduce as much stress as possible during your wedding planning.

We get it, you are going to think about your wedding ALL THE TIME. We dream about this day our whole lives, but a big tip is to take a break. Don’t forget about your relationship and getting dinner with your girlfriends, having a night out, doing something other than just planning or pinning stuff to your dream wedding board on Pinterest. Set aside a little time once a week to do planning, that way you have something to look forward to and you can focus on the rest of your life.

If you are feeling anxious when it comes to planning your wedding, we highly recommend you talk and let it out. Keeping these feelings bottled up will only make you feel worse. Find a group of engaged or married couples that you can talk to since they will be able to relate, if you don’t have a group of friends in a similar place as you guys are there are always online communities you can join. Heck, you can even talk to us! We are always willing to help you feel the best you can about your wedding day.

We know this sounds a little ridiculous. I bet you’re thinking “how am I going to have time to take up a new hobby when I need to plan our big day.” By taking up a new hobby by yourself or as a couple you are going to learn more about yourselves. This can help you to let out stress and even make new friends. Branching out is always good!

This isn't only a great way to let out and stress or anger you may have but it's also just good for you. It’ll help you to get in great shape for your wedding day because who doesn't want to look and feel amazing on this day. You can’t forget to put your health first, you want to live forever don’t you?

Get yourself a binder, tab dividers, clear sheet protectors, whatever you want. But staying organized is really going to help cut the stress. This way everything has a home and you know where to find it. We recommend checklists! We offer a very in-depth checklist if you do decide you want to work with us. With a checklist you can have everything covered and get the satisfactions of being able to cross something off as done. Who doesn’t like that feeling?

If you have friends or family that are willing to help in the planning process, do not be afraid to give them a task. They did ask in the first place! This can help you to feel like all the weight is not on your shoulders. We aren’t saying you have to give them a crazy task but even something little like putting labels on invitations or putting together your thank you favors for guests can make a huge change in how you feel.

When you are finding vendors to work with on your big day, make sure you get along and that you can trust them. This way you don't have to worry about them doing an inadequate job or not meeting your expectations, therefore reducing your stress levels.

It doesn't matter what point that you are at during the wedding process, hiring a planner can help you immensely. If you just need a day of coordinator, great; if you need help finding vendors, we got your back! We are here to help you feel as prepared as possible and help you as little or as much as you’d like. We want to relieve as much stress as we possibly can from you and are willing to work within your budget.

Do not forget why you are investing so much time into your special day. This day is about you and your loved ones being together to witness an amazing unity in marriage. Things are going to get stressful, hectic, you are probably going to cry throughout the process and feel so overwhelmed. But do not forget that you are doing this for you and your significant other. You have found your person and are ready to spend the rest of your life together. Focus on the big picture of what you have to look forward to, with that mindset you will be able to come over and bumps that come along!

Hi guys! Most of Bella Vue Events’ blogs will be written in the voice of both of us, Elyse and Emily, when we are sharing tips, tricks, trends and other topics. Sometimes we will share something that is more personal to one of us and that will be written in a more specific voice, rather than the more neutral tone we typically use. Both of us are relatively private people, but we have chosen to use this platform to share some of our experiences with the hopes that maybe just one person can relate or “needed” what we felt compelled to write. We’ve both always felt a calling to make a real difference and we hope to do just that with Bella Vue Events, by reducing our clients’ stress through our event planning services and by offering a safe place to talk about the tough things. I, Elyse, will go first.
This past weekend, we took part in an event called “Love Your Belly” to honor pregnancy and motherhood. I attended the event as a guest last year and knew that Bella Vue Events had to take part in the event this year and not just to grow our business but because of the cause.
