Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky in the street; fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” –Coco Chanel

Coco Chanel was a famous designer who started with nothing but a love and passion for her vision and fashion. And even though she no longer lives to see how her vision continues to impact our world, the difference she started is now a major part of our fashion runway and her design has influenced many other brands as well. But most importantly I believe it’s her philosophy and strong work ethic that has so beautifully impacted my life.

Hello to all you beautiful and lovely ladies who are reading this post! My name is Chenoa Garza. I am a Wife, Mother, Safe Beauty Advocate, a Blogger, and a friend. To be honest I struggle each day and often times each minute to be successful at all these very important roles. To back up a bit, let me dig into my career and college days.

College was a time of self exploration in learning who I am and actually attempting to do it. To be very honest, there were many years I was at a loss to know exactly who I was and what talents I possess. Years past as I was sure I wanted to be in the Corporate Fashion Business world. I got in, worked my way up and realized this is exactly where I do not belong. You see I was living my idea of what a successful woman looked like, not what being myself successfully looked like. Fast forward and I was pregnant with my son. In that moment, I realized that it was now or never. Continue on a career path that gained me the status and income boost I wanted and continue to miss a lot of time with my husband and soon my new born. It was then I made a decision that I was done with this world I had worked so hard to get into. I decided to leave my career in Corporate Fashion and work for myself. I moved on to a Fashion Consulting Role for a small women’s resale shop. There I wore many hats such as: Social Media Coordinator, TV Script Writing/Fashion Model Creative Direction, Fashion Styling, Sales Promotional planner, Creator and Writer of the Team Trainer Guide and well the list goes on. I realized during that time that I was beginning to see exactly what my true passions were.
About two years later, I was presented several amazing opportunities to serve in a Creative Directive role for spec. commercial shoots. For those of you who do not know, Spec. Commercial shoots are shoots creative film professionals execute in order to build their portfolios. I was honored, thrilled and beyond excited to be involved. My roles involved anything from: Makeup, Wardrobe, Set Design collaboration, Interior Design collaboration, fashion styling for multiple actors and the list goes on. After pondering over my many hats I wore in these amazing shoots it was clear that my passion for both fashion and interiors in a creative leading role was exactly where I wanted to be one day.
Now, I am a wife of 7 years, a stay-at-home Mom of 3 years, an advocate with Beauty Counter to bring safer products to everyone and a Milwaukee Blogger. I know who I am, what I love and what talents I have and am blessed to continue to develop. Those early years are a distant and important memory. They are also a lesson that you do not have to know exactly where you need to go, but rather keep walking, seeking, working and learning and you will find your perfect path. “The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.” – Coco Chanel

1. Meghan Markle Vibes

The Royal Wedding really is making its mark in this year’s wedding dress trends. Meghan Markle’s dress was absolutely stunning, fresh and clean! We have been seeing a lot of this minimalistic/simplistic style rocked by countless brides and we are really living for it.

Hi guys! Most of Bella Vue Events’ blogs will be written in the voice of both of us, Elyse and Emily, when we are sharing tips, tricks, trends and other topics. Sometimes we will share something that is more personal to one of us and that will be written in a more specific voice, rather than the more neutral tone we typically use. Both of us are relatively private people, but we have chosen to use this platform to share some of our experiences with the hopes that maybe just one person can relate or “needed” what we felt compelled to write. We’ve both always felt a calling to make a real difference and we hope to do just that with Bella Vue Events, by reducing our clients’ stress through our event planning services and by offering a safe place to talk about the tough things. I, Elyse, will go first.

This past weekend, we took part in an event called “Love Your Belly” to honor pregnancy and motherhood. I attended the event as a guest last year and knew that Bella Vue Events had to take part in the event this year and not just to grow our business but because of the cause.
